The Baker IDI Heart & Diabetes Research Institute – located in Melbourne – is one of Australia’s largest medical research institutes with an impressive track record.
Medical research is a notoriously difficult area to fundraise for, and our challenge for this appeal was how we could make this engaging and relevant to the ‘typical’ donor. Cardiovascular disease affects far too many people, and the proposition to support medical research into a simple test that could identify people at risk of a sudden, life-threatening heart attack has broad appeal.
By simplifying the message, and using clear photography and illustrations of the medical research work; we were able to develop an engaging appeal piece for Baker IDI which was very effective.
